VPNIL Setup Guide
Complete the setup in order. Skip steps you have already finished. When setting up another device, start with getting a client and importing your subscription.
Create an Account and Save Your Login Details
Open the account creation page in the VPNIL user dashboard and set a username and password as prompted. No email address required—sign up with a username and password. You’ll use the username to sign in. Choose a password you don’t use on other websites and save it in a trusted password manager. Before submitting, check that your details are correct, especially for extra spaces copied along with your password.
After creating your account, open the user dashboard. If you’re still on the sign-in page, log in with the username and password you saved. Make sure the account overview opens before choosing a plan. If you already have an account, use it as usual—there’s no need to create another account for a new device or re-enter your website login details in the client.
There are two different types of information here: your username and password let you sign in to the VPNIL user dashboard, while the subscription link lets a client load server configurations. They serve different purposes. If a client asks for a server address or subscription URL, get the subscription from the dashboard rather than entering your website password. For account access issues, continue troubleshooting in the Help Center.
Choosing a Plan and Confirming Payment
After signing in, open the plans section in the dashboard. First, compare monthly subscriptions with data packages, then choose based on how much you expect to use. Monthly subscriptions suit regular use, with data resetting each month on the activation date. Data packages remain available until used and never expire. Check the data allowance and billing terms, not just the price, to find an option that fits how often you use the service.
Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages include ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. Browsing, using AI tools, and streaming video continuously all use different amounts of data. If you’re unsure how much you need, compare the available options first. Don’t base your choice on the number of clients you use—VPNIL supports unlimited simultaneous devices.
After choosing a plan, check the plan name and total due on the order, then continue using the payment option shown in the dashboard. Payment methods include Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT; follow the instructions on the current checkout page. Once payment is complete, return to the user dashboard to check the order and subscription status. If the payment page has closed but the dashboard hasn’t updated, refresh the status and check the order before attempting another payment.
VPNIL offers a 14-day money-back guarantee. See the Terms of Service for details. If you upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; check the result shown in the dashboard before proceeding. Once the subscription is active, continue to get your server configuration. Installing a client alone does not confirm that a server is available.
Account Overview and Getting Your Subscription
Open the account overview in the user dashboard and check your current plan, available data, and subscription status, then find the subscription section. If the dashboard offers a direct import option, install the relevant client first, then return here to start the import. For manual setup, copy the full subscription link and paste it into the subscription URL field in your client.
A subscription link isn’t a web page to read in your browser—it lets a client retrieve server configurations. Don’t edit or remove any of its parameters after copying it. Line breaks added by chat apps, spaces from document formatting, or copying only part of the link can cause the import to fail. Copy it directly from the user dashboard into your client to avoid extra steps, and don’t submit it to public link-checking websites.
Keep your subscription link as securely as you would your account credentials. When contacting support, describe the error message, platform, and steps that led to the issue. Don’t show the full subscription link in screenshots shared publicly. If you think the link has been exposed, check the dashboard for an option to reset it. After resetting, replace the link on all your devices; the old configuration will no longer be sufficient.
After copying the link from the dashboard, keep the page handy, then install a client and import the subscription. A successful import should show a server list or configuration name—not just a saved URL. If the configuration is saved but no servers appear, try updating the subscription in the client, then check your plan status and that the link is complete. Install a Client and Import Your Subscription
Get clients through the user dashboard; this guide does not provide installers or subscription URLs. After signing in, you can get the client for Windows / macOS / Android / Linux without purchasing a plan. For iOS, your plan must be active and unexpired to access the client. Getting a client and using a subscription are separate steps: you can install the client first, but make sure your subscription is active before connecting.
Whenever possible, use the client and import method provided in the dashboard. The steps below cover common options by platform; the interface may vary by version. The process is similar in any client that supports subscription links: add a remote configuration, paste the full URL, save and refresh, then select the configuration. Copying a link to your clipboard alone does not import it into the client.
Windows: Add a Subscription in the Configuration Section
Sign in and open the client downloads section in the dashboard to get the Windows client. Install it by following the prompts. On first launch, look for “Configuration,” “Subscription,” or “Profiles,” then choose the option to add a remote configuration from a link. Paste the subscription URL copied from the account overview. You can give it a recognizable name, but leave the URL unchanged.
Save the configuration, then update or download it. Wait for the server list to appear, then set the configuration as active. If one-click import from the dashboard prompts your browser to open the client, check that the app name is correct, allow it to open, and confirm the import in the client. Grant any permissions needed to enable the system proxy. Avoid changing advanced routing settings until you’ve tested the connection with the default configuration.
macOS: Load the Configuration After Granting Permissions
Get the macOS client from the user dashboard, install it, and open it. If macOS asks you to confirm the app’s source or grant permission, first check that you got it from the dashboard, then follow the prompts in System Settings. A client that needs network configuration permission may request it when you first connect. Permission and subscription import are separate steps, so check that the configuration has loaded after granting permission.
Open the client’s configuration manager, import the remote subscription from a link, save and refresh, then select the imported configuration. If you use the dashboard’s import option, check that the client actually opens a confirmation screen; returning to the dashboard in your browser doesn’t necessarily mean the import is complete. For more detail on installation and permissions, read macOS Setup and Import: A Step-by-Step Guide. Then continue with the connection steps in this guide.
Android: Import from a Link and Allow the Connection
Get the Android client from the dashboard and install it as prompted. Open the app and find configuration or subscription management. Choose the option to add a subscription by URL, paste the link, save it, and refresh. Once the server list appears, return to the connection screen, select the configuration, and connect. When Android asks to set up a VPN connection, check which app is making the request and confirm permission.
If the connection works at first but drops when you switch apps or lock the screen, check whether the system is restricting the client’s background activity. Settings vary by device; look in the app’s battery or background management options. Don’t delete the subscription just because of one interruption. Reopen the client, check that the configuration is still there and whether the connection has recovered, then follow the troubleshooting steps in the Help Center.
iOS: Get the Client Through the Dashboard
Sign in to the user dashboard on your iOS device and make sure your plan is active and unexpired. Then open the client downloads section to access the iOS client. The dashboard provides the relevant App Store link. If you’re not yet eligible to access it, return to the account overview and check your plan status. Avoid choosing a similarly named app from search results, as it may not support the right configuration method.
After installing the client, return to the dashboard and try importing from there. Alternatively, in a client that supports subscription links, open subscription management, choose Add from URL, paste the link, and refresh. When you connect for the first time, iOS may ask to add a VPN configuration; follow the system prompts to allow it. Then check the selected subscription and server in the client. Once the system shows that you’re connected, test access to the service you need.
Linux and Other Import Differences
Linux users can also get a client through the dashboard and load servers from the subscription option in configuration management. If the client’s format options don’t match what you expect, return to the dashboard and choose the compatible import method. Renaming the link or changing a file extension won’t convert the configuration. Advanced routing, split tunneling, and streaming region detection aren’t required for installation. Once connected, read the Streaming Access Guide to learn more.
Connect to a Server and Verify It Works
Make sure the imported configuration is selected in the client. Open the server list, choose a location that meets the target service’s regional requirements, and connect. For the initial setup, keep the client’s default routing settings. Windows and macOS usually also require the system proxy to be enabled; on Android and iOS, make sure the system allows the VPN connection. Different modes may affect which apps use the connection, so there’s no need to enable multiple proxy clients at once.
Once the client shows a successful connection, open a browser and visit the international website you want to use. Check that the page loads and, after signing in, that the service’s features work. A connected status only confirms that the connection step completed; it doesn’t verify access to the service you want to use. If the site still reports a region issue, check whether the selected server location meets the platform’s requirements, rather than relying on the connection icon alone.
If something goes wrong, check in this order: configuration, connection, then the target website. First make sure the subscription is up to date and your plan is active. Then check the selected configuration and system proxy status. Finally, try another server that meets the target region’s requirements. Change one setting at a time and note the exact error message to help identify what made a difference. See server locations and types on the Global Server Locations page. For more complex issues, use the categorized troubleshooting guides in the Help Center.
If websites load normally but an AI tool or streaming service doesn’t work, the issue may involve your account region, service availability, or the platform’s own policies. VPNIL provides a network connection, not authorization for third-party accounts, and cannot guarantee continued access to specific content libraries or features. For AI-related use, see our AI Tools Guide. For streaming regions and account requirements, read the Streaming Access Guide.
After verifying the connection, keep the working configuration and store your account credentials securely. To refresh the server list, use the client’s subscription update option—there’s no need to create another account or pay again. To set up another device, get a client from the dashboard and import your subscription. VPNIL supports unlimited simultaneous devices, but check the connection on each device separately. To report an issue, open a support ticket in the user dashboard. Include your system, the client’s error message, and the steps you’ve tried, but hide your account credentials and subscription link.
